Patricia Gambino

Patricia attended Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, Pa and graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta.  She first tried her hand at pottery as a student in art school but it wasn't until many years later that she had the opportunity to work in clay again. She finds making pottery a peaceful experience. The feel of the clay and being able to shape and reshape the clay as she is inspired provides great satisfaction. Patricia been a Potter for 18 years and after experimenting with many forms of pottery found her voice in functional kitchenware. In addition to being functional they also have an artistic/sculptural aspect. She enjoys cooking and many of the creations – Salt Cellars, Garlic Keepers, Olive Oil Jars – have resulted from her own needs in the kitchen. Most days you will find her in her studio “in the woods” of Heath Springs, SC.
